Goin' to the Chapel

Last weekend, one of my BFF's tied the knot with her main squeeze. Jen & Rod have been smitten with each other since the beginning of freshman year of college (5 years!) and they professed their love to each other in a beautiful ceremony followed by a rockin' reception.

Myself & the beautiful bride!
I was privileged to be a part of the big day as a bridesmaid, along with some more of Jen's girlfriends, both from GC and other friendships. It was great to see everyone, and have us all in one place at the same time. (Which is very rare.)

We started off the wedding morning the obvious way - by going for a run. Such a great way to get the jitters out (for the bride) and for us all just to have some girly time. Talks while running > talks while not running.

Like her veil? And don't we all look so awake? Ha.

That's more like it. Talen's face is my favorite. (yellow shirt)
Then we had to scramble to get our hairs did. The only other time I've had my hair professionally done was of for my wedding last summer, so I was pretty stoked.

Hawt.

Crazy hair!

The finished product. And no, there were no bump-its used in these hair styles. That's all hairspray.
I spent some time with this cute lil' puppy while we were getting our make-up done.

Lil' furball.
Before we knew it, it was time to head to the church. We got ready the rest of the way in the nursery, hence all the zoo animals on the wall. Heh. And the fake plastic kitchen.

Twin pic!
Putting the garter(s) on.

Jen's bouquet.

All dolled up and ready for action! Love the yellow dresses.
At this point, my camera battery died. Yes, how tragic. But it was okay - I wouldn't have really been able to take any more pics anyways. I think it'd have been a bit rude if I stood up on the alter snapping pictures during the ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful. Jen & Rod had each written love letters to each other, without telling what they wrote. The pastor read them out loud, and there were definitely many teary eyes in the audience.

After making it official with the vows and a kiss, the new couple was ready to celebrate! They kicked off the reception in style with a getaway golf cart. (The reception was at the Country Club of a beautiful golf course.)

Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

The reception was spent dancing, catching up with old friends, and partying it up. Such a great night.

Sharing a kiss during the first dance.
Thanks so much Jen & Rod for including us on your big day! We wish you the best!

What a cute wedding! I love the yellow! Your dresses were all so pretty... and the Bride is gorgeous! Both me and my sister both ran on the morning of our weddings. I think we went 8 before Cec's and 10 before mine... it was the best possible way to de-stress and just be able to enjoy the amazingness of the day! Yea for being married!

Exactly! We ran before my wedding, too. Most people were like "Why would you want to worry about getting all sweaty & exercising?" I told them I would be so much more stressed out & anxious if I didn't run! Heh.
