Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes...

As you can see, I got a new blog lay-out! I absolutely love it. I'm carrying over my wedding colors into the blog. :-)

It's from Simply Yours Designs. The creator (Hil) has a ton of super-cute pre-made layouts that you can purchase for a pretty reasonable price. Go check it out if you think your blog needs to be spruced up a bit.

In other funny news, I made chocolate chip banana bread today. And made a complete mess.

Looks like I need a bigger loaf pan...

I guess I will get to figure out how the oven self-cleaning cycle works!

Question: What types of  mishaps have you encountered in the kitchen? Do share!

Oh my gosh, kitchen mishaps...I don't even know where to start. There was the time I tried to make brownies from scratch and after 3 separate batches, still didn't get it right! ( I always use a box mix now!) My recent blog post about my accidental biscuit/rolls. The first time I had my now-husband over for dinner, I tried to make corn chowder and the potatoes were crunchy, there was too much pepper and I forgot 2 ingredients! In all honesty, I could probably start an entire blog about just my kitchen mess-ups.

I see your bread oozed but did it taste good?

Yea, it was still pretty tasty. Just a mess to clean up. I let Ben take it to the office to share with his employees...

i feel like every time i go in the kitchen i have a mishap whether it's involving cooking or not. yesterday i was trying to get the granola bars out and i dumped over the box of cocoa. huge mess! i had to use almost a whole roll of paper towels to mop it up. it even got on a vent so it was blowing cocoa powder in my face the whole time.

i bought that cocoa to make no bake cookies for church at our house and i thought, no bake? i can make them right before they get here cuz they don't have to bake...but then they didn't solidify until everyone had left so any brave soul who wanted one had to eat them from a cup with a spoon. FAIL

and while grating potatoes to make hashbrowns i grated a pretty good chunk of my skin. we couldn't find it cuz it was the same color as the potatoes so we probably ate it which is really gross.

Oh goodness... At least then you had more no-bakes for yourself after everybody left?

Usually when I make cinnamon roll, I do not add enough flour and end up with dough stuck to the counter. I also usually have flour EVERYWHERE in the kitchen by the time I done. I always try to clean it up with a damp cloth, but then it make flour paste. But the baked cinnamon rolls are sooo worth it!
